My father and I often have political discussions at night in the kitchen or via phone, where we will discuss what’s currently happening in politics and try to decipher potential future events. When I learned of Senator John McCain’s selection of Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, I could not be more ecstatic, not only because she is an anti-corruption, strong conservative voice, but because my father had accurately predicted that she would be the nominee.
I had personally believed McCain would choose Romney or Pawlenty, but that just shows my political inexperience versus my father’s, who has a degree in the field, and John McCain’s, who has served in the Senate longer than I have been alive. Speaking of inexperience, that happened to be the Left’s first barrage against Governor Palin. The notion that being elected mayor of a small American town whose opinions are often ignored in the political arena, and then being elected Governor of the oil-important state of Alaska for two years, is less experience than Obama’s state senatorship where he voted “present” on almost every major issue, and two years running for President in the senate is absolutely laughable. The attack not only failed, but it backfired on the Obama campaign, calling into question his woeful inexperience once again. Obama was quick to try and change his method of attack, but he’s still having problems with finding an opening that won’t boomerang around to hit him in return.
That is where we come to this contrived blog piece from the lunatic fringe DailyKooks, claiming that Governor Palin’s child was instead born from her daughter. No doubt this will get some play in the Leftist Press, but it is evident that the child is Governor Palin’s and not her daughter’s. Firstly, the pictures the blogger uses to illustrate that Palin was not pregnant show her uterine area mostly or completely covered up by either a jacket, a table, or some other hindrance, or the shot is not direct enough. Secondly, he asserts that a slight curvature in her daughter’s abdomen is indicative of a pregnancy. Instead, that slight pudge is more indicative that her daughter partakes of the liquid bread a little too enthusiastically. I happen to be a college student, and many girls that drink do have a slight pudge in their bellies from the alcohol. If this blogger has uncovered anything, it’s that Governor Palin’s daughter is attractive like her mother and knows how to enjoy herself. Then again, she may be pregnant now, but even if she is, the timeframe would not be nearly close enough to warrant Trig being her son. The part of this story I find the most ironic was the following line:
“The truth is not below any progressive, nor any citizen of the world that is one heartbeat away from having Palin as leader of the free world.“
No, sir, the truth is beyond progressives, and ensures that Palin will indeed be one heartbeat away from the Presidency come this November.
The real truth behind this story is that the Left have no true vectors of attack on Governor Palin that won’t come back to hit them in turn. Governor Palin is a strong conservative voice who fights against the Obama/Biden style government and bureaucratic corruption, is pro-drilling, pro-life, and pro-guns, seizes the “Change” mantra from Obama, and brings the Democrats that continue to support Hillary Clinton to the Republicans.
