Cast Announced For “Grindhouse”
It was recently announced that Kurt Russel, among others, has been cast in the kitschy double-feature “Grindhouse” being developed by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez.

If you haven’t heard, Grindhouse will be two short movies in one: Tarantino’s Deathproof, the story of a stuntman who uses his modified car to kill young women; and Rodriguez’s Planet Terror, a zombie film.

Both are tributes to 70’s no-class, low-budget, high-gore and low-concept exploitation movies: grindhouse cinema, to be precise.

The two segments will be separated by a series of fake trailers for 70’s type films. Tarantino has stated that they will make a fake kung fu movie trailer, a fake blaxploitation trailer, and a fake “sexploitation” trailer for a nonexistent movie called Cowgirls in Sweden.

From Leo’s blog, it seems that a lot of people are interested in a TechTV reunion of sorts. From the post:

“I don’t want to be a tease, but there’s some interest in putting together a TechTV reunion show for the net. Many of the TechTV hosts have said they’d participate, including Kate Botello. Kris Kosach, Chris Pirillo, and Jim Louderback. Martin Sargent has offered to host it. I know we could get all the TWiTs involved.”

Chris Pirillo has also posted something about a possible reunion in his blog as well. If you guys ever cruise by this site, I want you to know that Bladen Force would love to help revive TechTV, somehow. (I’m not exactly sure how yet.) I enjoyed watching ZDTV and I stayed with the channel into its change to TechTV and even partly into G4TechTV, but when The Screen Savers was dropped in favor of “Attack of the Show”, I immediately quit watching G4. It still disgusts me to this day what happened. Well, here’s hoping this turns out.
